Is Carrington Academy a franchise?
Carrington Academy is not a franchise. Carrington Academy was founded in 2001. The McFarland, Windermere and Midway campus locations are each independently family owned and operated.

What curriculum do you use?
Carrington Academy’s Curriculum promotes a solid and balanced educational foundation that promotes strong educational and literacy–rich environments. Our goal is to provide all students with a challenging and well balanced educational experience. Our Curriculum uses rich themes to make it easier to build repeated, related experiences for children. With thoughtful intentional planning, and playful activities, new vocabulary skills, social/emotional skills, and math skills, are promoted and are part of effective learning that will help to build and expand a child’s learning and prepare them for their educational future. In addition to our signature curriculum, Carrington Academy implements nationally recognized curriculum components within our Preschool through Kindergarten programs. By combining our signature Carrington foundation curriculum with nationally recognized curriculum components, we are afforded the ability to offer effective teaching and instructional value to all lessons that meet local and national academic standards. Preparing children for the future is our commitment and providing a stimulating and safe environment where a child can develop a love for learning is our difference.
What are your child-teacher ratios?
Each campus maintains low nationally accredited child to teacher ratios. For more information on specific classroom ratios, please feel free to ask the Director.
What items do I need to bring for my child?
At the time of registration, each family is provided with enrollment package that will contain specific requirements for each age group. All children need a change of clothes and an extra pair of shoes onsite at all times. Please do not allow children to bring toys or outside food to the school.
Are your programs peanut-free?
Yes, all programs are peanut-free.
How long do the children play outside?
Outdoor time is essential in a preschooler's day. It promotes motor skill development, social development, and also individual development. Depending on the weather, our daily schedules provide children with at least one and a half hours of outside time. Infants receive one hour of outside time each day under our covered porches or playing in our specially designed outdoor infant play areas.
Are children separated by age outside?
Yes, every Carrington Academy location has separately designed ADA compliant outdoor playground spaces. Each specific playground area has been designed around your child's age to ensure maximum safety and age-appropriate fun.
Do I receive any discounts for multiple children?
Carrington does offer family discounts. Please contact the Campus Director for more information.
How do I know what my child has done all day?
Each child enrolled in our infant through kindergarten programs receive a daily sheet. Carrington Academy daily sheets include specific information about the day in the following age based areas: diapering, nutritional food program participation, potty-training, general behavior, program participation throughout the day, detailed curriculum information and more.
What happens if I am late?

What forms of payment do you accept?
Tuition express is our only form of payment. Tuition Express provides automatic processing through your bank or credit card account. There is a 1.5% convenience fee added to all credit card payments. Please see the front desk for more information. Please no personal checks or cash.
