Foreign Language
Each week our Spanish teacher provides educational opportunities in foreign language for our young toddler through after school programs. In today's world of cultural diversity and international opportunity, foreign language skills are imperative and can be mastered if started early in a child's life. Each month parents receive our "Foreign Language Newsletter" with specific instructional information that details each week's lesson plans. The newsletter provides resources for parents to continue implementing foreign language instruction into the home. Children learn foreign language in our programs through:

Technology
Point and Click! Each campus has a technology center for our early preschool and older programs. Each child is assigned time during the week to come and spend time learning in the technology center. Each classroom from our 3 year old to after school program is equipped with computers for additional learning throughout the day. Your child will learn the following skills:

Art
Every child loves to be an artist! Each campus affords your child the opportunity to have fun while creating works of art thru various media, such as clay, paint, chalk, pencil, and crayon. Carrington Academy offers daily and weekly art instruction that helps children to:
- Learn to follow directions
- Hold and use a pencil
- Understand and draw basic shapes
- Stay on task and complete activities
- Gain fine motor and handwriting skills

Dramatic Play
Carrington Academy believes kids learn about themselves and the world around them through dramatic play. Research is abundant when it comes to play and its positive effect on children's development. This world of play offers children vast opportunities to learn about themselves, others, and the environment in which they live. Benefits of play in a Carrington classroom include:
