ALL CARRINGTON FAMILIES, PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES, EMPLOYEES AND FAMILY MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. THE FALL FESTIVAL WILL BE HELD AT THE WINDERMERE COMMUNITY FIELD NEXT TO OUR CAMPUS. Our Windermere location features a spectacular nautical theme!

At our Windermere location, nautical themes captivate your child’s imagination as soon as he walks through the door. Our corridors feature a colorful seashore theme that envelopes your child’s senses providing him with stimulating hands-on experiences at every turn. Soothing pastel-colored classrooms help your child learn while providing the reassurances of home. From our covered porches to the exposed wooden beams in our foyer, these are the kinds of inspirational details that make the Windermere early learning campus distinctively different.

Your child’s security is as important to us as it is to you.

For your child’s safety, our state-of-the-art secured Access-to-Excellence Doors allow access to the school’s interior hallways only to those who have been pre-authorized. Full-color closed-circuit TV cameras allow the director to monitor the entire Center, whether she is in her office or walking around with her hand-held computer. After you have dropped your children off in the classroom, you can view them on the large, wall-mounted TV in the foyer to ensure that a smooth transition has taken place.

Full Time and Part Time Programs allow flexibility when choosing a program that works with your schedule. Choose from our 8:00-12:30, 8:00-2:30, and 6:30-6:30 programs and then select the days that you would like to attend. We now offer any 2, 3, 4, or 5 day programs for Infants through Kindergarten. The Indoor ‘Imagination Station’ playground provides a wonderful alternative to the outdoor playgrounds on bad weather days. A carpeted Tricycle Trail, Kid’s Corner with a built-in TV for games and movies, Computer Corner for enrichment programs, and a cozy Loft for playing and relaxing allows for a wide variety of free play activities.
The multi-purpose ‘Specialty Room’ is our Cafeteria during meal-times, and converts to our Theatre when necessary. Puppet shows, special theater productions, large-screen movies, indoor sports and after-school activities, and special graduation ceremonies are just some of the events that take place in this area.
The media room provides our signature library and computer center. The library is stocked with books with a special reading area for small groups to spend quite time in every day. Our computer area houses 4 computers with each station allowing two children to learn together. Each distinctive area allows a small group size from each room to learn in a quite setting one on one with their teacher. Each classroom is assigned individual time in the media room to expand their daily learning.
All Audio throughout the Center is centrally-controlled. Therefore, familiar children’s songs welcome you as you walk in the front door, and music is played into every classroom daily. Age-appropriate satellite-TV or video is televised into each classroom during special Enrichment Programs.
Our Ratios for each classroom is the lowest in the industry and in many cases lower than NAEYC accredited ratios. We maintain a very low group size in each class with additional staff available to assist during peak busy times at lunch and nap time each day.
Our Accredited Curriculum is implemented by our highly degreed and certified educational specialist on site each and every day. The educational specialist works with each head teacher in every program to ensure that their weekly lesson plans are packed full of educational opportunities for each and every child. Every lesson plan is reviewed by the educational specialist each week and is posted in every classroom.
Our Degreed Teachers provide a stimulating learning environment from Infants through Kindergarten using our Accredited Curriculum program. The Preschool and Kindergarten Programs are staffed by at least a Bachelor or Master Degreed head teachers in Early Childhood Education. In addition, preschool classrooms may have up to two degreed teachers on staff.
On site Educational Specialist/Curriculum Coordinator with a Degree in Early Childhood Education oversees every classrooms weekly lesson plans and ensures that every component in our Accredited Curriculum is being implemented.
