Sharon K. Corrigan, Quality Assurance Director
Sharon’s passion for education began when she was nine years old and was cast in the role as “Teacher” in her neighborhood located in Hatboro , Pa. She was inspired by her older sister who was going to college for education at the time. Her love for education and leadership continued through High School. After spending her Senior year as a part time assistant in an elementary school classroom, Sharon knew that she would dedicate herself to teaching and learning from young children.
While attending West Chester University , Sharon worked at private preschools and student taught in elementary schools throughout Pennsylvania. She was given the opportunity to experience many diverse learning environments and communities. That was the experience of a lifetime for Sharon because it was then that she observed first hand how the quality of learning environments can influence the education and lives of young children.
Sharon has over 25 years experience in education. Her experience includes membership, accreditation and leadership roles in local and national educational affiliations such as C.I.T.E. (Coalition for the Education of Infants and toddlers), NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and Georgia Association on Young Children. During her role of Director in Education at a New Jersey premier private school with 500 children from infants to first grade, Sharon’s family was transferred to Georgia in 2000.
