ADMINISTRATION BIOS
Kimberly Sharpe, Executive Director
Kim has been an educator for almost 20 years. Kim is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development/ Early Childhood Education. She has worked in both the public and private sector and has taught children 4 years of age through 6th grade. For the past 7 years she has been in administration as Admissions Director, Assistant Headmaster, and Headmaster. She has called Atlanta home for 11 years. Kim is married and has 2 teenage children, 2 dogs, and a cat! Kim looks forward to partnering with you and our community to carry out our mission of nurturing the whole child as we provide a solid educational foundation and the skills needed to promote and encourage your child's success in life-long learning.
Tiffany Batts, Program Director
Tiffany Batts has been with Carrington since January, 2008. She has enjoyed teaching at Carrington for the past three years, and was recently promoted to Program Director. She is married to her husband, Brian. They live in Sugar Hill with their Children; Caleb, 4, and Lexie, 2. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, swimming, scrap-booking and reading.
Tiffany holds a CDA, Child Development Associate Credential, so that she could specialize in ages birth-5. She has been a part of the Child-Care industry since 2001.
Tiffany Sparks, Operations Director
Tiffany Sparks has been with Carrington since July, 2008. Tiffany was a lead teacher for the past three years and was recently promoted to Operations Director. Tiffany moved from Blue Ridge, Ga to work for Carrington three years ago. She now resides in Cumming with her seven year old daughter, Abagayle.
Tiffany has been working with children since 1999. She is in the process of pursing her Early Childhood Education Degree and feels that working with children is her calling.
Leah Hayes, Business Manager
Leah started with Carrington Academy in 2005 as the Business Manager. Leah works in multiple facets in the school, from the day to day business responsibilities to filling in when members of the Executive team are absent. Leah holds a Bachelors Degree in Business and has attended multiple early childhood continuing education classes. Leah enjoys spending time with her family, and being around your children each day. She is a true example of dedication.
Jill Huber, Front Desk Support
Jill Huber has been with Carrington Academy for 1 year as the Front Desk Administrative Assistant. She has a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Individual and Family Studies/Child Development from Kent State University. Jill has lived in Atlanta for the past 10 years with her husband, 12 year old son and 7 year old daughter. Jill is truly a "southern bird" and enjoys yoga, tennis, and shopping. Jill enjoys working with the administrative staff, teachers, and all the families at Carrington Academy!

Infant I - Holly Johnson
"I am a single mother of three children that I fostered and then adopted. I have been working in the childcare industry for over twenty years as a teacher, assistant director, and director. I chose this career because of the love I have for children. I have found my niche to be able to love, nurture and care for infants. Thank you for allowing me to care for your baby!"
Infant I - Sharon Rudy
"I am from upstate New York, where I married my husband and raised three sons. I owned and operated an Early Childhood School in Warwick, NY for over 12 years. Due to my husband’s job transfer, we relocated to North Carolina. There, I returned to college to earn my credentials in Early Childhood. I received my Early Childhood Credentials and my Infant, Toddler and Family Associates, from Forsyth Technical Community College. With another job transfer, we came to settle in Cumming, GA. I enjoy my family, my 5 grandchildren, and learning how to play golf with my husband. I’m honored to be working at Carrington!"
Infant II - Lindsay Studer
"I have been with Carrington Academy for three years in the Infant II room. I graduated from North Georgia Technical College in 2001. I have a four-year-old daughter who also attends Carrington. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, water-sports, crafts and camping."
Infant II - Kelly Densmore
"I have been working with young children for a total of six years. I have two sons, ages 13 and 10, who are very busy with sports. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and attending my sons’ sporting events."
Infant II - Danka Omerovic
"I have been working in the childcare industry for more than five years. Before working with Carrington, I worked as an Au Pair for a few years. I am originally from Bosnia, where I obtained my degree in Geography. I also have my teaching certificate in the states. I am married, and have a 4-month-old son, named David. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family."
Young Toddler - Jana Corey
"I have been working with Carrington Academy for the past five years. I have worked with all ages and have spent the last two years working in the Young Toddler classroom. I am currently enrolled in Lanier Technical College, working towards my degree in Early Childhood Education. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, cooking, baking and spending time with my family and friends."
Young Toddler - Sondra Withrow
"I have worked with all ages and have worked in the Young Toddler Room since December. I am currently enrolled in Lanier Technical College, working towards my associate degree in Early Childhood Education, with a specialization in Infants and Toddlers. I have four children and three step-children. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the Wii with my children. "

"I recently graduated from high school and will begin attending college in the spring. In my spare time I enjoy shopping and spending time with my family and friends."
Toddler I - Jenna Poss
"I have been working with infants and toddlers for Carrington Academy Since September, 2007. I am currently attending Georgia Perimeter College, pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Education. I recently got married in April of 2011, and am now a proud step-mom to three wonderful little boys. In my spare time I enjoy being around family and friends. I enjoy fishing, hiking, camping, cooking and scrapbooking."

"I am currently attending college and working towards my Early Childhood Education Degree. I love watching children learn and grow, and am truly fulfilled each time that I help a child succeed. In my spare time I am usually busy with homework or playing with my dog, spike. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and boyfriend, John."
Toddler II - Niesha Rodreguiz
"I have been working with Carrington Academy for the past three years. I am currently working towards completing my Childhood Development Associate Credential, CDA. I have four children; 3 beautiful girls and a handsome young son. I love to collect jewelry and candles."
Toddler II - Victoria Darr
"I have worked with Carrington Academy for the past two years. I have my Bachelors Degree from UGA and a Masters Degree from Brenau University. I have two daughters. I enjoy spending my spare time reading books."
Early Preschool - Erin Cook
"I have my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Georgia Teaching Certificate. I have worked with children for the past eight years. I am recently engaged and am looking forward to wedding planning. In my spare time I enjoy painting, reading, writing children’s books, spending time with friends and family and drinking a frozen coffee."
Early Preschool - Sam McKee
"I have been working towards my nursing certification. I have a four-year-old son named Jacob. In my spare time I enjoy deep sea fishing, camping, hiking, reading, writing poetry, listening to music and spending time with my son. "
Preschool I - Stacy Lemons
"I have my Masters Degree in the Arts of Teaching from NGCSU. After staying at home with my two children, Caleb-4, and Reece-2 ½ , I have decided to enter back into the world of teaching. In my spare time I enjoy reading, running and dancing."

"I am currently in the process of obtaining my Early Childhood Education Degree from Gainesville State College. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, camping, shopping and spending time with family and friends. "
Preschool II - Hoor Kapadia
"I have been working with children of all ages for the past ten years. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education. I have four children of my own, ages 11, 9, 8 and 3. In my spare time I enjoy shopping, watching movies, reading and spending time with my children. "
Preschool II - Elizabeth Goff
"I have been working in the childcare industry since 2002. I am married with two sons, ages 17 & 14. In my spare time I enjoy cleaning, playing with our dog, and spending time with my family. "
Private Pre-K I - Nicole Razey
"I have taught Pre-K for a total of five years. I have a degree in psychology from Pfeiffer University. I am a proud new mommy of my son, Cole. In my spare time I like to swim, shop, and spend time with my family."

"I have have taught Pre-K for 10 Years. I have three teenage sons. In my spare time I enjoy movies, shopping and being with my family. "
Private Pre-K II - Cassie Jennings
"I have been with Carrington Academy since April, 2009. I have worked with all ages from Toddlers through School- Aged Children. I recently graduated from North Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, being outdoors and shopping."
Private Pre-K II - Melissa Dunlap
"I have been with Carrington Academy since November, 2010. I obtained by B.F.A in Studio Art from Brenau University in 2008. Before working at Carrington, I spent my time working for various non-profit organizations. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, Anderson, and our two dogs, Moo and Bear."
Transitional Kindergarten - Emily Castleberry
"I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. While at Furman, I was a member of their division one volleyball program. I am currently coaching three different volleyball teams in the area. I am recently married to my husband, John. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our Golden Retriever, Tucker, and playing sports."
Support Staff - Sandy Hammett
"I have been with Carrington Academy for the past three years, working in both the Infant I and Infant II programs. Prior to working at Carrington, I had my own in-home center for 5 years. I have three children of my own. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, and attending cheerleading competitions with my youngest daughter, Paige."
