Classroom of the Month

Our classroom of the month for February is Transitional Kindergarten.  Mrs. Beverly has done an amazing job of keeping the classroom running smoothly, despite its recent changes.  Beverly has taken over right where Miss Janna left off, and has continued to teach the children at an amazing rate, and ensures that they will be ready to enter into Kindergarten in the fall!  Beverly has done a tremendous job reassuring both parents and students, and also in welcoming her new Lead Teacher, Ms. Suzanne! I enjoy listening to all of Beverly’s amazing ideas, especially when she calls me to inform me of sales on “fun things” for her classroom!  I admire her energy and spirit, and am so thankful for how wonderfully the Transitional Kindergarten class runs on a daily basis!

 Teacher of the Month

Our teacher of the month for February is Keshia Murray!  Keshia joined our Carrington Family in December, and we are so thrilled to have her here!  Whether her class is at the smart board, in the classroom, or on the playground, she is always active and engaged with the students!  She is a warm friendly face at the beginning of each day, and the end of each evening.  She truly captures the essence of a teacher who ignites the curiosity of her students.  Congratulations Mrs. Keshia!  We love having you as our Pre-K teacher!

Letter from the Principal

Happy February, to my wonderful students and families!

Love is in the air at Carrington Academy!  I love looking at these children and their beautiful faces, each and every day.  I love leaning over the front counter to give a friendly smile, only to shortly later realize that I no longer have to lean over, as they each grow so quickly! I love seeing the excitement and wonder in their eyes as they learn and grasp new concepts!  I love getting ready for graduation, although I know that it will bring a moment of sadness when the time comes.  Each year the faces and names might change a little, but my love for the children, parents, and staff at Carrington Academy will always remain constant!
Now that we are through ringing in the new year, it is time to focus on admission season for the fall.  We are well underway with our In House registration for Private Pre-K, TK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade.  Our In House registration will end on February 6th  and we will open our program up to the community. PLEASE do not delay with your registration as our private programs are on a wait list currently, and will quickly fill up for the fall.  We are truly blessed to have a thriving school as many have had to close their doors!  I contribute this to our AMAZING teachers and staff!  If you would like to schedule a time to meet, regarding fall class placement for your child, please don’t hesitate to call me. I would love to discuss the program differences and compare them to your family’s needs to ensure the most appropriate fit.  Remember, if you turn in your Pre-K- First Grade registration form along with a deposit BEFORE February 6th, you will receive $250 off of your deposit for the first month tuition in the fall.
By the way…. THE PIGS ARE COMING! Don’t forget to bring spare change next week to “Feed” the pigs!!!!
Partnering With You in the Journey,
Tiffany Batts, Principal
