The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister
Mister Seahorse by Eric Carle
Baby Beluga by Ashley Wolff
Vocabulary Words:
ocean, sand, stars, beach towel, shell, starfish, whale, jellyfish
Ingredients
What you’ll need:
o 2 cups of frozen berries
o 2 cups of frozen mango
o 1/2 cup of milk
o 1 1/2 cup of water
o 2 tablespoons of honey
Helpful Tip:
This recipe is for 4 small servings, double it to make 8.
Notes:
They will look best if you use transparent cups. I recommend plastic water cups, these are perfect for small hands!
How to make it:
6. Blend the frozen mango with the milk and 1 tablespoon of honey together. Add 1/2 cup of water little by little. Check that the smoothie turns out somewhat thick. Set aside.
7. Blend the frozen berries with 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 cup of water together. Try not to make the mix watery.
8. Pour about 3/4 inch of the mango smoothie in a cup, then spoon over about the same amount of the berry smoothie on top, swirl it a little, then pour another layer of mango and top it off with a small layer of the berry smoothie, trying to make a nice swirl with the spoon. Repeat the process with the rest of the cups.

As the school year comes to a close, it is always a busy transition to summer. Planning vacation, spending time at the pool. I hope that you are finding time to spend with your family. Summer is always such a fun time for us at Carrington. It brings onsite visitors, water play and of course field trips. Just because the school year has drawn to an end does not mean the learning stops. Please make sure to check out your ParentShare emails. Our children are participating in such fun activities this summer that include science experiments, read-a-thons and much more!
Registration is well underway for next school year. PLEASE ensure you have your child’s enrollment secured! If you are not sure that you have a secured your spot for August, please see the front desk ASAP! You will be receiving enrollment paperwork shortly for 2015-2016 school year. We are working hard to ensure that all of our classrooms have the perfect balance of learning and play and that each student’s individual needs are met so that they may become lifelong learners.
In closing, thank you for partnering with us in another year of growth, academics and overall community. It means so much to me to be a part of your family’s everyday. I live to see the growth that comes throughout the school year, and I am always proud and amazed to see all that our teachers pour into our classrooms. I wish you a happy and fun summer. Take the time to enjoy the sunshine and make precious memories with your family.
Collaborating Successfully Together,
Kara Willbanks
