Links To Learning Curriculum Goals

***This is a glimpse of what each classroom will be focusing on in the upcoming Month.  Please see the   classroom bulletin board for more detailed lessons.

 Infant

Baby Sign Language this month is “Bear”. To sign bear, make your hands into claws and cross your arms by your chest. Scratch up and down repeatedly. For further assistance or questions, please feel free to ask your child’s teacher.

Toddler

This month, your child is beginning to imitate the actions of those around them. They are learning to play imaginatively to help develop social skills, creativity, and vocabulary.

 Beginner

This month, your child will learn the words to familiar songs, follow multi-step directions, and name places in her community.

Intermediate 

This month, your child will follow multi-step directions, learn to count to 50, and identify a variety of foods from different food groups.

Pre-K  

This month, your child will begin dictating stories, use adjectives to describe people and objects, identify written numbers, and using descriptive words to describe weather.

In The Spotlight:

Add a little twist to traditional date squares with these Date Coconut Squares! Not only do they contain coconut, they’re also vegan and Gluten Free!

Ingredients:
Produce

  • 2 cups dates, pitted
Breakfast Foods

  • 2 cups Rolled oats
Baking & Spices

  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 cup Coconut flour
  • 1/2 cup Coconut sugar
  • 1 cup Oat flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
Oils & Vinegars

  • 3/4 cup Solid coconut oil
Nuts & Seeds

  • 1/4 cup Coconut
Liquids
  • 1 Water – Hot
