Links To Learning Curriculum Goals
This is a glimpse of what each classroom will be focusing on in the upcoming Month. Please see the classroom bulletin board for more detailed lessons.
Infant
This month, your child will further learn and develop their fine motor skills. Playing with and using utensils is a great way to enhance these skills, especially utensils with different sized handles that can be used to pick up different kinds of foods. Baby Sign Language this month is “eat.” To sign the word “eat,” make an “O” shape with your hand and bring your hand up to your mouth repeatedly.
Beginner
This month, your child will recognize their first name in print, identify aspects of nature that we associate with spring, and create art using basic shapes.
Intermediate
This month, your child will discuss characters in a story, learn to count to 40, and mimic sounds in nature.
Pre-K
This month, your child will make new words by changing the beginning sound, retell a story by stating events in their proper order, and identify living and nonliving objects in nature.
