Dear Carrington Academy Suwanee Families,
We loved celebrating Week of the Young Child and Earth Day with our students and families! Our classrooms spent the week leading up to Earth Day learning about insects, plants, ecology and making art from recycled materials. For Earth Day students in all of our Pre-School made ladybug hats and released 9,000 ladybugs into our school garden. This month we are busy supporting our school age students as they prepare to wrap up the academic school year. As part of our school age curriculum, our students are working together to get their classroom ready for summer camp. Planning for activities as a team helps school age children develop independence and leadership skills. Feel free to stop by our after-school program classroom and say hello!
As we come to the end of another wonderful school year, I just want to say thank you! Thank you for allowing us to serve your family at Carrington Academy at Suwanee. For those of you who will be leaving us in May, we wish you well and look forward to seeing you when you return in August. We will soon start getting ready for the summer months, and there will be many fun and exciting things to come! Our water play fun will be begin May 29th, and several onsite guest visitors will be on campus during the summer months. Summer activity packets will be sent home shortly so that you can see when our special guest visitors will be on campus.
Current Kindergarten through 5th grade students will have an opportunity to register for summer camp starting on May 1st. Please remember that summer camp is limited to a first come/first serve basis, and spaces fill up fast. The informational packets will be sent home with current students first, and we will then open registrations to outside families.
As we move forward in the months ahead, please ensure that you have pre-registered for your child’s classroom next school year. We have limited openings in these classrooms, so time is of the essence.
I wish you a wonderful summer. May it be filled with lots of family, a slower pace, and the summer time moments that will be remembered for a lifetime. As always, if anyone has questions or concerns, we welcome you to discuss things with us at any time. Thank you for your continued support. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful group of children and supportive parents!

Principal
