A note from our Assistant Principal
We loved celebrating Week of the Young Child and Earth Day with our students and families! Our classrooms spent the week leading up to Earth Day learning about insects, plants, ecology and making art from recycled materials. For Earth Day students in Pre-K made ladybug hats and released 4,500 ladybugs into our school garden. This month we are busy supporting our school age students as they prepare to wrap up the academic school year. As part of our school age curriculum, our students are working together to get their classroom ready for summer camp. Planning for activities as a team helps school age children develop independence and leadership skills. Feel free to stop by our school age room and say hello!
Sincerely,
Jamie Highfield
Mothers day celebration
Our Mother’s Day breakfast will take place on Friday, May 11th from 7:00-8:45 a.m. We will have tea, muffins and fruit. Our school age students have set up a fun photo booth in the lobby where you can take a photo with your child to commemorate this special day. All mothers, grandmothers and special parent figures are welcome!
Warm weather reminders
Please bring your child to school each day with an extra pair of clothes suitable for the warm weather. You may keep the extra clothing in their book bags. You child may wear sandals as long as they are closed toe with a strap around the ankle. Your child will also need sunscreen labeled with their name to keep in their classroom.
