Mother’s Day Celebration
We are excited to celebrate our mom’s on Friday, May 11th. Come join us for a Mother’s Day Tea with your child during their regularly scheduled afternoon snack time.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Our Teacher Appreciation Week is April 30-May 4th, and we would really like for you to help us show our teachers some love!
Monday: Notes from the heart. Let’s let our teachers know how special they are by delivering a special note, card, drawing, or picture to you child’s teacher.
Tuesday: Let’s shower our teachers with flowers.
Wednesday: We will be providing our teachers with a smoothie bar.
Thursday: Let’s TACO ’bout how awesome our teachers are! Our teachers will enjoy a taco bar…we would love for you guys to donate drinks and desserts.
Friday: Let’s brighten our teacher’s day by surprising them with some of their favorite things. (The list can be found on the front desk)
Monthly Curriculum
Infant
In our infant program, we start using baby sign language from the earliest months. Baby signs are common terms that have been modified and simplified from American Sign Language. The sign for this month is “diaper”. To sign this word place your hands near your waist. With each hand, tap your index and middle finger against your thumb repeatedly.
Toddlers
This month, toddlers will be continuing to work on developing and growing strong while using their muscles. Children have fun jumping, kicking and dancing as they develop their coordination and gross motor skills.
Beginners
This month, your child will practice using spatial vocabulary, matching items by color and size, and sharing details about recent family events.
Intermediate
This month, your child will discuss major events in a story, learn about the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly, and learn about the concept of speed.
Pre-K
This month, your child will continue to build addition and subtraction skills, repeat patterns of five, and follow multi-step directions.
