The first month of school has come and gone and we have enjoyed watching your children settle into their new classrooms and routines.
We recognize that this is a busy time for many families and we are using this month’s school newsletter to include reminders on school closures, communication, security and more. Please read through this newsletter carefully, and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Holiday Closure & School Year Calendar
Our school does not follow the local elementary school schedule as we are open more days per year. For the 2019-2020 school year the days we are closed are:
- Labor Day
- October 7th (professional development day)
- Thanksgiving Day and the day after
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
- New Year’s Eve
- New Year’s Day
- March 27th (professional development day)
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day Observed July 3rd
Important September Dates
September 2nd: Carrington Academy Closed for Labor Day
September 6th: Sundaes with Grandparents
September 11th: Remembrance Day (Wear Red,White and Blue)
September 16th: In & Out Pictures ( Uniforms NOT required)
September 26th: Dress Like Johnny Appleseed Day
September 27th: LifeTouch Pictures ( Uniforms ARE required)
