Note from our Principal
The year is off to a great start so far and we are enjoying spending the winter season with you and your children. This time of year, our students spend extra time participating in our SPARK physical fitness program, ensuring that they are able to work on their gross motor skills no matter the weather. We’re having a great time jumping, dancing and playing together!
Sincerely,
Nicole Wiggins
Monthly Curriculum
Infants
This month sign is the phase “all done,” place both hands in front of your chest and flip them outwards and inwards. For further assistance, have your child’s teacher show you how to make the baby sign, or refer to videos and articles on the web.
Toddler
This month your toddler will be engaging in activities using music and songs adding some fun and happiness to your child’s day. Moving to music helps your child learn that he/she can use her muscles in different and fun ways. Songs help them practice words that they are just learning to say.
Beginner
This month, your child will learn to connect the events in stories to their own life experiences, match animals with their sounds, and continues identifying shapes and colors.
Intermediate
This month, your child will learn to count to 30, recognize numbers 1-10, and identify animals and their habitats.
Pre-K
This month, your child will identify the word in a series of three that does not rhyme, sort objects into categories, and practice subtraction.
Priority Enrollment for the 2018-2019 School Year
Are you planning on re-enrolling for the next school year? We hope so! Please let us know as soon as possible so that we can ensure your child is placed on the roster. Our management team is available to address any questions or concerns you have.
Class Valentine’s Day Celebrations
Our classes will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Friday February 14th with a special craft and snack. Parents are always welcome, but photos will be shared on Links 2 Home as well! We are asking each parent to create a Valentines and Boxes, Envelopes, Bags or ETC. to put valentines in. Also, we ask parents to write on the “from” line only this will make it much easier for distributing.
We Love our Parents!
Do you know any parents who have recently moved to the area, are expecting a baby or are unhappy with their current preschool? We value our current parents and would love more families like yours at our school! Refer a new family to our school and your family could receive a free week of tuition. For more information, see our administrative staff.
